Three sitesThree projects, three different problems. We built these sites for very different clients. Every project starts with research, but the research does not produce the same answer every time.
- Macaulay Consulting. A Brisbane strategy and facilitation practice. Caroline’s credibility is carried by more than her website. Her proposals, reports, and other client documents are part of the same experience, so we brought them into the same visual and verbal system. View project →

How it works
Three stages01 Research
Before we design anything, we identify the people who will visit the site. We look at your competitors and at the expectations people bring to your sector. The result is a written piece of research that shows what we found and what it means for the project.
You receive that research before design begins. It remains yours whether or not we build the site.
02 Build
We build static websites with speed, accessibility, and search in mind. The architecture is deliberately simple, so there is less software between your business and the person trying to find it.
The site and hosting account are yours from the beginning.
03 Fit
The work suits businesses where trust matters more than spectacle. That includes professional services, academics, independent practices, and specialist trades.
We do not build online stores or specialise in animation-heavy websites. If your project needs something we are not set up to do well, we will tell you before you spend any money.
Research you can read
Research corpusWe keep the research behind the work in view, because it has a practical place in that work. Some of it will be directly relevant to a particular project. Some of it will not.
We publish the findings we use, including findings that complicate our assumptions. We also record where the evidence is limited or where the research does not answer the question.
